Stephen, Audrey, Bev, Dave, and Families:
I’m so sorry about your dad, grand dad, and my Uncle Odie.
I can think of so many wonderful memories - at Quarry Lane, Murray Corner, in Fredericton, visits at Christmas, family gatherings, lobster picnics, and more. He was always a constant and loving presence, and he could sure pour a stiff one!
His passing is also the passing of a generation - all of Ross and Jemina’s kids are now gone, including my mum and Maggie’s and Jake’s Nana. This brings a sadness in itself, as well as a feeling of profound gratitude for the love and closeness they had for each other and shared with us.
My thoughts are with you all and with our entire family as we mourn Odie’s passing and thank him and his Phinney brothers and sisters for what they gave to us.
Love, Susan

I have many wonderful memories of uncle Odie! From a young girl to young woman. He and aunt Edna were one of the reasons why I would love to be at the cottage. Megan and I would always rush over to say hi to the Phinny clan as soon as we arrived! I was always greeted with cookies and laughter! I remember when uncle Odie would tease us with his little creature that he easily convinced us of being alive, or the time when he had the bug zapper and tried to get us! He had infectious laughter and giggle! So many special memories!
He will alway be in my heart and live on at the MC. ❤️
Sending my love to all the family. Xo

We extend our deepest sympathy for the loss of you father and am saddened to lose such a dear friend. We became friends with Odie and Edna in Florida and continued that relationship in Sackville. We visited Otis often at the Drew and he and Gerry enjoyed talking about hunting and fishing and reliving the times that they travelled on several outdoor trips in Northern NB. They also spent time at Gerry's camp, where Otis loved to walk in the woods. We think of he and Edna often and miss them dearly.

My sincere condolences to the Phinney family. I so enjoyed my conversations with Otie in Murray Corner when we would compare how our gardens were producing. May he now rest in peace.

Bev,Stephen and family, we were so sorry to hear of Odie's passing. It is the end of an era for such a large family and it saddens me. I will never forget the amount of respect my Dad had for Odie and I will cherish the memories of the Phinney Reunions that we had at the cottage in Murray Corner. I know he was a special man and he lived a great and fulfilling life. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
