Obituary of Ruth Anne McConnell

Sackville, N.B.- It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Ruth Anne McConnell, age 71, on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born on December 24, 1944 in London, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Vera (Howard) and Joseph McConnell. Ruth Anne was always helpful with others, kind, caring and always had a smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ruth Anne will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cheryl Connell; her granddaughters, Teri-Lynn Connell and Misty Secord; her grandsons, Justin Young and his wife Laura Young and Dylan Young and his fiancé Ocean Leigh; her six great-grandchildren, Dakota, Dominic, Brodan, Hank, Jacob and Riley; her brothers, David (the late Donna) McConnell and Jim (Karen) McConnell; her Aunt Marj as well as by her special friends, Maxine and Alberta. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her son, Terry Connell in 1990; her granddaughter, Jacklynn Connell in 1991 and by her sisters, Shirley Gordon and Mary Finch. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Ruth Anne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held at Campbell’s Funeral Home on Saturday, August 13th, 2016 at 11 am with Pastor Andrew Swanson officiating. The burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruth Anne may be made to CARMA Sackville Chapter or to the charity of one’s choice.
