We have very fond memories of Mary. Karen remembers crossing at the main light in Sackville and seeing Mary running past the bank to catch the light before it changed. She was running like a 10 year old with her knees almost touching her nose. She was 80 plus years old. I also remember her concern for 'poor George' a label which has stuck for he will always be poor George. She will always be remembered in this family. Our sincerest sympathy. Karen and George.Trueman

I have many fond memories of Mary and family, but, especially Mary as she seemed to be everywhere keeping us young people of the community involved with lots of activities. From Christmas concerts to church socials Mary was always involved with the many other members of the community to make a safe and great place to grow and learn. Mary was not shy to give you directions as to how to act or dress or behave in a correct fashion and I had many occasions to benefit from her advice.Later as an adult I met Mary at Borden's and other functions and amazingly she still remembered my many faults I displayed as a young lad. We had a great rapport and enjoyed talking about the old days and many other subjects.
I will miss her with much fondness

Mary Bowser was an extraordinary character and despite her outspoken demeanor loved people and family. When you greeted Mary with "How are You" she always shot back with " I don"t know why I am here", but actually had a little story for you.
We will miss her as one of those unforgettable characters in our lives.
Our thoughts are with her Family.

Mary is finally where she wanted to be with Tom. We can be happy for her, the thought of Mary brings a smile to my face, ( took sewing lessons with her from Mrs. Folkins years and years ago she at that time was working on her burial outfit, I will always think of her as Bill's girlfriend when he joined her for breakfast at Borden's. We had many laughs at my mum's house on fairfield road as well as her house on the Woodland Rd as we trimmed mum's Christmas tree. May God rest her sole.

I am so very grateful Mum and I were able to spend some quality time, two years ago, with Aunt Mary when we flew down for a family visit. She was a very talented woman in her day, always knitting mitts for me and then for my children. To this day, I still have many of her crocheted Christmas ornaments she would make and send to us. Most of all, my most cherished gift from Aunt Mary, was one of her handmade quilts. After I whined how expensive they were to buy, she kindly offered me one that she had made.
I will always carry the fond memories of my stays as a child, at the farm with Uncle Tom, Aunt Mary, my teasing cousin Neil and my wonderful, to this day, awesome cousins Margaret and Lois. My husband and I loved our visits to Sackville. She would always have my favorite ice cream waiting for me when we arrived, Grapenut ice cream! My husband, Rick really enjoyed painting her garage and anything else he could do to help out while we were there. I will miss sitting around the table, chit chatting about old times. Margaret, Lois and Louis, her son-in-law, were awesome to her, and to start off her day, Louis would bring her a Timmie's every morning. Aunt Mary loved her children, her grandchildren Susan and Tim, as well as all of her great grandchildren. They were all the light of her life and they all brought love and laughter to her life.
Rest in peace Aunt Mary, your wish has now been granted.
Love Louise (her sister) Sue, Rick, David, Heather, Matt and Charlotte❤️
