Obituary of Amanda Lou Stronge

Amherst, N.S.- It is with profound sadness that we must announce the passing of Amanda Lou Stronge on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. Amanda passed away at her home with her family by her side at the age of 39 years, following a brave battle with cancer. Born in Advocate, N.S. on November 7, 1976, she was the daughter of Lewis Arnold and Holly Karon (Acorn) Stronge. Amanda was a hard worker, loved photography, listening to music, cooking and some sports. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her brother, two nieces, her family and friends. Amanda will be lovingly remembered by her Mom and dad, Holly (Acorn) and Lewis Stronge; her brother, Darcy (Aimee) Stronge; her two nieces, Addison Leigh and Cadence Emily; her maternal grandmother, Anita Acorn; her special Aunt, Leona Thompson; her special friend, Jeremy Wheaton and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, John Acorn and by her paternal grandparents, Marion(Allen) and William Wood. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Amanda’s wishes there will be no funeral service at this time. Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Friday, July, 22, 2016 from 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Amanda may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, IWK Health Centre or to the charity of one’s choice. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Johnson in Sackville, Dr. Harb at the Moncton City Hospital and to the VON Palliative Care team in Amherst for all of their care and kindness.
