Obituary of Ronald Ivan Chapman

Fairfield, N.B.- It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the passing of our husband, father and best friend, Ronald Ivan Chapman on July 7, 2015 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. Ronald faced his inevitable fate with courage and wit and remained strong until his last breath, surrounded by his loving family. Ronald was born on February 9, 1938 in Sackville, N.B. He was known as the “Ford Man”, and for his love of antique case tractors and his great love of horses. He lived his life like his brothers, fearless and like his sisters, passionately and he passed his love for life and adventure onto his children and all of those whose lives he touched. Ronald will be eternally loved and missed by his wife and soul mate, Debbie (Morice) Chapman and the entire Morice family. “Your Teeshoe will love and miss you forever.” Ronald was blessed with five wonderful children, with their mother Jeannita Chapman. He will be always loved and cherished by his daughters, Angela Corinna and Sherry Lynn. “His three boys” will forever feel the loss of their mentor and inspiration, Ronald Darrell, “You were always there for me”, Randall Ivan and spouse Rachel Mitton, “We will always love and miss you papa”, Scott Jason and wife Vicky and children, Shane, Justin, Hayley and Benjamin, “You’re the greatest, hammer down.” Ronald will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Lester and Harris and by his sisters, Doris, Birdie, Diane, Shirley and Oressa. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Harris Hebert Chapman and Gladys (Turner) Chapman; his brothers, Roderick and Hedley; his sister, Phyllis; his granddaughter, Shauna, February 9, 1986-July 23, 2002; his father-in-law, Bill Morice and by his brothers-in-law, Richard and Gary Morice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Ronald’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ronald may be made to his family, to help with expenses or to the charity of one’s choice. Special thanks to the nursing staff at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Dr. Stewart, Dr. Lirette and Campbell’s Funeral Home.
