Obituary of Myrna Haley
Baie Verte, N.B.- It is with deep sadness that the family of Myrna Ann Haley, announce her passing on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Myrna was 68 years of age.
Born on March 20, 1946 in Amherst, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Murray and Mona (Farrow) Carter.
Myrna loved fishing, sewing, quilting, cake decorating and baking with her granddaughter, Lindsay. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Myrna will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Charles Haley Jr. of Baie Verte, N.B.; her children, Murray (Christa) Haley of Point de Bute, N.B., Douglas (Shelly) Haley of Sackville, N.B. and Kimberly (Bob) Simpson of Amherst, N.S.; her two sisters, Donna Paul of Fredericton, N.B. and Bonnie (Jerry) Leifker of Amherst, N.S.; her three grandchildren, Jordan Haley (Krystal Buck), Zachary Haley and Lindsay Haley; her two step-grandchildren, John and Marissa Newhook; her special niece, Aeron McMaster and by many other nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Myrna was pre-deceased by her brother, Gordon Carter and by a brother in infancy.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at Campbell’s Funeral Home on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Catherine Smith officiating. The burial will take place in the Point de Bute Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Myrna may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.
