Donald worked in the oil business for most of his life, once owning a garage in Fort Lawrence, N.S. His last place of employment was with Eddy Group in Amherst, N.S. Donald will be greatly missed by his children, Bonny (Terry) LeBlanc, Larry (Georgina) Legere, Wendy (Hubert) Forrest and Mark (Kathy) Legere; brother, Bill Legere; two sisters, Rita Blair and Helen (Frank) Caleja; fourteen grandchildren, Chad, Trevor, Larry, James, Donnie, Gary, Charlie, Melissa, Joey, Megan, Stacey, Shawn and Heather; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild as well as by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Donald was pre-deceased by his son, Donald Jr. (Sherry) Legere; wife, Rose Marie (McLellan) and by two sisters, Irene and Ona. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Donald’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. A graveside service will take place in the spring at the Amherst Cemetery with a date to be announced. All will be invited to attend. Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to extend a very special thank-you to Carol and Tina at the Twin Birch Lodge for the wonderful care given to our father.
