The last time I saw Marjorie was in the winter of 2014. It was quite an experience when I knocked on her door. She was so outspoken. When I entered her house for a visit she completely did not recognize me at all. I know it was a long time since I last saw her which was the spring of 2009 when we had buried Ronald and Rosalie Wells. Here I am at my parents funeral and Marjorie is in a car with Harold and she yells over to me and says, "Who are you and what are you doing here? Do you not know a funeral is going on?" Harold recognized me right away and laughed. Marjorie was such an outspoken women but in her own way she was actually funny. So once again in 2014 she told me she did not recognize me and I had to explain to her that I was Ronald's son. She was so bothered by it that she told Geraldine Davis about it which made Geraldine feel down for instructing me to go visit her. But I assured Geraldine that I am not bothered by the fact Marjorie did not recognize me as I did not even recognize her and that I found it funny. You see when I went to visit Uncle Willie and Aunt Marjorie with my father Ronald, I would be outside with Ron and Willie where Willie would be working in his garage, or be sawing lumber for an order with his saw mill or be assisting with haying a field. During this time Marjorie would be in the house. The only other time I would contact Marjorie was with the telephone as she would call her brother-in-law Ron. However, the minute Marjorie open her mouth and spoke I knew exactly who it was as I have talked with her many times on the phone. She will surely be missed as she had a zest for life and was an outspoken women. The last visit I had with her I actually learned more about her and enjoyed the visit.

I am sorry to family and friends for your loss of Miss Marjorie. I had the pleasure of sharing almost daily laughs with her as an employee at The Drew. Her saying “by da geezus!” always made me laugh as it is something one of my aunts said growing up. The laughs we shared felt healing for both of us despite both of us not necessarily laughing about anything in particular. We just enjoyed seeing each other every day. I miss her very much. May you rest in peace Miss Marjorie.

Marjorie was the most caring, selfless and generous person one could ever know.
She was always helping those in need.
Marjorie, it was an honour to have you for not only a cousin, but a best friend to share the many jokes and laughs that we had together.
