Obituary of Ronald Bliss Wheaton

It is with sadness that we must announce the passing of Ronald Bliss Wheaton, age 85, at the Westford Nursing Home on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Born on November 4, 1938 in Mount View, NB, he was the son of the late Reginald Wheaton and Nettie (Stiles) Wheaton.

Ronald was employed in his younger years with Enterprise Foundry, General Electric and then was self-employed as a painter for many years. He looked after his mum until she was 84 years old and he was a quiet and gentle man. Ronald enjoyed operating farm machinery and had a great interest in farm life. He was the recipient of “The Good Neighbor Award” in Middle Sackville where he lived and was well respected.  Ronald will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Clair (Pat) Wheaton of Sackville, NB, as well as by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brothers, Raymond, Chester, Kenneth and Orlie; his infant sister, Twila, as well as by his sister, Florence Doncaster.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188.
