Obituary of Donna Lee Snowdon

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Donna Lee Snowdon, 78, on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Autumn Lee Retirement Home in Sackville, NB.

Born on February 27, 1945 in Sackville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Doreen (Bembridge) and Roy Snowdon.

Donna will be missed by all her family, as well as by her extended family. We will all miss her smile, her generosity, and the time we all spent together. She was a gentle soul and she always enjoyed family get-togethers. Donna was always an avid and talented knitter, and she enjoyed sharing her cooking and baking with others. Forever missed and always in our memories, our Donna Lee.

Donna will be lovingly remembered by her son, Alex McLeod, Sackville, NB; her five sisters, Eileen Estabrooks of Sackville, NB, Barbara Siddall of Sackville, NB, Marilyn (Roger) Richard of Oshawa, Ontario, Susan Snowdon (Jim Hennessy) of Sackville, NB and Bonnie Snowdon of Linden, NS; her two brothers, David Snowdon of Halifax, NS and Michael (Isobel) Snowdon of Sackville, NB, as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides her parents, Donna was pre-deceased by her brothers-in-law, Fred Estabrooks and Jack Siddall.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and the staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. Following Donna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place in the spring in the Westcock Cemetery, followed by a reception to celebrate Donna’s life. Details will be announced at a later date, and all are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
