Obituary of Pauline Marie Stright

Murray Corner, N.B.- It is with great sadness that the family of Pauline M. Stright, announce her passing, with her family at her side, at the Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin, on Monday, April 25, 2011. Pauline was 86 years of age and is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born on February 13, 1925 in Jolicure, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Bliss and Bertha (Oulton) Parsons. Pauline was a homemaker and also worked in retail sales at what once was Henderson’s Drugstore, Port Elgin, and also at Lake’s General Store in Murray Corner. She was a member of the Murray Corner United Church , Silver Pioneers Seniors and of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was always there to help her family and friends. Pauline will be sadly missed by her three children, Patsy (Clark) Brander of Port Hawksbury, N.S., Deborah (Donald) Warman of High Level, AB and Murray (Shelley) Stright of Barrie, Ont.; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law Aubrey Carter and numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Stright; her two sisters, Mildred Carter and Doris Parsons; her brother Edmund Parsons and her sister-in-law Stella Parsons. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 2 pm at the Murray Corner United Church with William Drysdale, DLM, officiating. A private burial will take place in the Fernwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pauline may be made to the Westford Nursing Home, Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of choice.
