Obituary of Barbara Lynne Parsons

It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Lynne Parsons, announce her sudden passing at her home in Sackville, on Monday, November 21, 2011. She was 48 years of age. Born in Scarborough, Ontario on February 26, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Mauchen) Parsons. Barbara worked at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville, N.B. as a Resident Attendant and will be always loved and remembered as a one-of-a-kind mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Barbara will be greatly missed by her children, Barbara Spence of Toronto, Ontario, Jeremy Tibbetts of Halifax, N.S. and Julian Gonyea of Sackville, N.B.; spouse, Bryen Gonyea of Toronto, Ontario; two grandchildren, Reilly and Collin of Toronto, Ontario; brothers and sisters, Fred (Donna) Parsons, Larry (Caroline) Parsons, Patricia (Robert) Parsons, Chris Parsons, Leigh (Tanya) Parsons, Nanette Bourgeois, Wanda Bourgeois and Margaret (Brett) Connors; many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her son Larry Spence of Parrsboro, N.S. in 2007. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. E4L 3P1 (506-364-8188). In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at the Middle Sackville Baptist Church on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 11:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 2 pm. Rev. Vernon Vickruck will officiate at the service and all are invited to attend. Following the service a reception will be held at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Barbara be made to the Middle Sackville Baptist Church, Touchstone Counselling Group, or if desired, the funeral home will accept donations to assist the family. The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to Florence Rose, the Middle Sackville Baptist Church, Rev. Vernon Vickruck and Erin Campbell for their support and kindness.
