Obituary of Audrey Blanche (Hicks) Crossman
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Audrey Crossman of Sackville, NB. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at The Moncton Hospital.
Born in Midgic, NB, she was the daughter of the late Marcus and Beatrice (Cole) Hicks.
Audrey was a member of Main Street Baptist Church, where she had been involved in several ministries over the years.
Audrey cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren and she loved to watch her grandchildren play sports. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Audrey was loving and kindhearted and she loved to bake and share it with her family and friends.
Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her son, Stephen (Trishia) of Perth, Ontario; her daughters, Karen (Dale) McDougall of Sackville, NB and Jennifer (Timothy) MacDonald of Mill Brook, NB; her eight grandchildren, Matthew (Megan), Geoffrey (Samantha), Brian, Scott, Marc (Natasha), Liam, Caleb and Elaina; her eight great-grandchildren, Sophia, Nora, Quinn, Finley, Fletcher, Isla and Emberley; her step-granddaughter, Selena; her brother, Douglas (Marcella) Hicks of Halifax, NS, as well as by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews with whom she was very close.
Besides her parents, Audrey was pre-deceased by her husband, Charles Crossman, as well as by her brother, Ivan.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. Visiting hours will take place on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Audrey’s funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at 2 pm at the Main Street Baptist Church with Pastor Andrew Swanson and Rev. Timothy MacDonald officiating. A reception will follow the service and the burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery.
