Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Patterson
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret E. Patterson announce her passing at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Margaret was 89 years of age.
Born on July 8, 1922 in Middle Sackville, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Mabel (Amos) and Harvey Roy Estabrooks.
Margaret was a licensed cook at the Sackville Memorial Hospital for many years until her retirement and was a Mount Allison University Alumni. She greatly enjoyed quilting, making Kroy socks and watching the hummingbirds.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her daughters, Sharon (Ken) Stronge of Roachville, N.B., Julia (Alex) Zoellner of Sackville, N.B., Carla Train of Sackville, N.B. and Eleanor (Harold) Johnson of Quispamsis, N.B.; grandson, Harvey (Betty) Archibald of Moncton, N.B.; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Carl Patterson in 1998; daughter, Heather Stultz; two granddaughters, Darla Stultz and Natalie Hoyt; sister Muriel and by her step-mother Florence.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2 pm at the Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Morris Mills officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Salem Baptist Church, Canadian Celiac Association or to the charity of ones choice.
