Obituary of Shelley Darlene Smith

It is with deep sadness that the family of Shelley Smith, age 53, announces her passing on Sunday, December 27, 2020. Shelley passed away at home with her loving daughter and husband by her side. Born in Moncton, NB on September 30, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Marven Snowdon and Margaret ‘Peggy’ (Duhy). Shelley was employed at the Sackville Memorial Hospital in housekeeping for 22 years. She loved to hunt, fish and play bingo. Most of all, Shelley loved being with her family and her grandchildren and would often have all of her grandchildren overnight together. Shelley will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 37 years, William ‘Billy’ Smith; her children, Katie Smith (Jeremy Weldon), Dorothy Smith (Chase Landry) and Michael Dowe (Leslee Johnson); her brother, Ricky Snowdon (Corinne); her sister, Dorothy (Brett) Berneche; her grandchildren, Casey, Natalie, Landon, Liam, Aiden, Neveah, Maddex, Calie, Camron, Raina, Braeden, Olivia and Kayden, as well as by many extended family, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her son, William Lorne Smith in 2016. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a family service will take place on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.
