Obituary of Colleen Cavell Crossman

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colleen Crossman, which occurred at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville, NB on Thursday, July 30, 2020. Colleen passed away at the age of 80. Born on October 23, 1939 in Sackville, NB she was the daughter of the late Beverly and Geneva (Wheaton) Crossman. Colleen loved to have visits from her family, listening to music, dancing and swimming. She loved to color, do crafts and play bingo at the Drew Nursing Home. Colleen will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, Roland (Barb), Vern (Brenda) of Portuguese Cove, NS and Gordon (Cal) of Moncton, NB; her sisters, Eunice Laing of Sambro, NS and Margaret of Maple Ridge, BC; sisters-in-law, Audrey Crossman and Nancy Crossman, as well as by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her brothers, Charles and Jerry; her brother-in-law, Kenneth Laing, as well as by her nephew, Logan Crossman. The family wishes to thank the Drew Nursing Home for their Love and compassion during Colleen’s stay there. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. Due to Covid 19, a family gathering will take place on Monday, August 3, 2020 with Rev. Tim MacDonald officiating. The burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery. If so desired, donations in memory of Colleen may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
