Obituary of S. Yvonne Nye

It is with great sadness that the family of S. Yvonne Nye, age 62, of British Settlement, N.B.. announce her passing on Wednesday, July 23, 2013 at Moncton Hospital, Moncton, N.B. Born in Sackville, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah (Duncan) Akey. She had recently retired from Mount Allison University where she worked in Facilities Management Services for over 30 years. Yvonne enjoyed doing crafts and baking for different craft and bake sales. She was an avid yard sale attendant. Yvonne will be sadly missed by her two children Bonnie (Frank) Kovac of Calgary, AB, and Debi Nye of Dorchester, and their father Hanford of Sackville, N.B., as well as grandchildren Morgan, Sarah, Crystal, Amy and Robert. She is also survived by brothers Ervin (Rose), Alvin and William (Anne) and sisters Linda, Dauphne (Charlie), Carol (Jack) and Audrey Bird (William) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Allan in infancy. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 11 am in Westcock Cemetery, located on Barren Ground Hill.
