Obituary of Duane Herman Ayer
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Duane Ayer on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the age of 60. Duane passed away at the Moncton Hospital with his loving wife by his side.
Born in Sackville, N.B. on July 30, 1957, he was the son of the late Twila (Smith) and Herman Ayer.
Duane was a farmer and enjoyed animals, especially his dogs. He loved nature, walking in the woods, gardening, planting flowers and feeding the birds. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Duane will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Sandra (Green) of Sackville, N.B.; his sister, Bonnie (Tom) Redmond of Elmsdale, N.S.; his step-children, Keith (Shelley) Ward of Sackville, N.B. and Tony (Lisa) Ward of Oshawa, Ontario, as well as by his step-grandchildren, Wayne Ward, Julia Ward, Olivia Ward, Logan Ward and Alexander Ward.
Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his step-daughter, Betty Ward.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 1 pm until 2 pm. The funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation, at 2 pm, with Pastor Paul Bedford officiating. The burial will take place in the Westcock Cemetery.
