Obituary of Ada Leota (MacGlashing) Dobson
Cape Tormentine, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Ada Dobson announces her passing on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Westford Nursing Home in Port Elgin, N.B. Ada passed away peacefully and with her family by her side at the age of 90.
Born on March 13, 1927 in Bayfield, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Emily Irene (Snowdon) and Harvey B. MacGlashing.
Ada was a member of Trinity United Church, Cape Tormentine, N.B. and was always an active member of the UCW.
Ada will be lovingly remembered by her children, Danny (Bev) Dobson, Dawn (Dexter) Martin and Karen Dobson (Wayne Scantland); her brother, Oswald (Mary) McGlashing; her grandchildren Robert, Diane, Shawnda and Kaylin; her great-grandchildren, Alex, Kate, Landon, Pierre, Nash and Matthieu, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Alonzo Dobson in 2009, as well as by her many brothers and sisters.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM. The funeral service will take place at 2 PM with Rev. Catherine Smith officiating. Burial will take place in the spring in the Bayfield Cemetery.
