Obituary of George Raymond Musgrove
It is with sadness that the family of George R. Musgrove, announce his passing on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Drew Nursing Home.
Born in Aulac, N.B. on June 21, 1931, he was the son of the late Stella (Berry) and William Musgrove.
George was a truck driver for most of his life and loved his job very much. He loved to volunteer at the Drew, helping with setting up the bowling games and delivering newspapers. He was very involved and affiliated with the Jehovah’s Witness faith for the last few years.
George will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Dian Brown of Moncton, N.B. and Debbie Musgrove (Moyra Hansen) of Sackville, N.B.; two sons, Danny Musgrove of Buffalo, NY and David Musgrove of Sackville, N.B; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and by his niece, Sharon McGuiggan of Hamilton, Ontario.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his brothers, Bill (William) Musgrove and Donald Musgrove.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-8188). In keeping with George’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Campbell’s Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at Campbell’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Following the service all are invited to a reception at the funeral home.
Donations in memory of George may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.
The family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville for their care of George during his stay there.
