Obituary of Gail Hay
It is with great sadness, that the family of Gail Hay announces her sudden passing on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital. Gail was 67 years of age.
Born on September 24, 1946 in Hamilton, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late David and Sadie (Holmes) Bishop.
Gail loved life and always made the best of things even through her illnesses. She enjoyed thrift store shopping, going for drives and travelling, antique cars, animal prints and “bling”. Gail always came bearing gifts or treats when she would visit and made everything about life happy and always had a smile. Above all, Gail loved her dog Cuddles and spending time with her family.
Gail will be lovingly remembered by her soul mate of the last 41 years, Murray A. Estabrooks; her two daughters, Teresa (Mike) Furler and Catharine (David) Estabrooks-Whitelaw; her three grandsons, Christopher, Preston and Nathan and by her best pal, Cuddles, who never left her side.
Besides her parents, Gail was pre-deceased by her aunt, Mary “Mamie” Holmes in 1998.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home, on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 1pm until the time of the funeral service at 3 pm with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. The burial will take place in the Four Corners Cemetery.
If so desired, donations in memory of Gail may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
