Dorothy was a long-time member of Main Street Baptist Church in Sackville where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class and the Social Committee. For seventy years, she made her home on Fairfield Road in Sackville where she was a member of the Neighbourhood Quilting Club and did book-keeping for her husband’s landscaping business. She took an avid interest in family history and connections and her keen mind and amazing memory remained with her up until her last days. She loved babies and greatly enjoyed the many babies and young children in the family. Her loyalty to and support of family over many years of change were greatly appreciated by her family.
The family wishes to thank sincerely the staff at the Drew Nursing Home for the extraordinary care and kindness shown to Dorothy and the family.
For those wishing to give gifts in her honour and in lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to the Drew Nursing Home, Westcock Cemetery or the church or charity of choice.
