Obituary of Garnet Earl Patterson
It is with deep sadness that the family of Garnet Earl Patterson, announce his sudden passing in Charlottetown, PEI, on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the age of 41.
Born on June 15, 1973 in Sackville, N.B., he was the son of Garnet Roy Patterson and the late Leona Mae (Gilroy) Patterson.
Garnet worked in tourism for many years, in Aulac, N.B. at the information bureau and at Cape Jourimain Nature Center. He enjoyed nature, weather watching, star gazing, cross country skiing, bicycling, watching movies and stamp collecting. Garnet loved to write and sent postcards to pen pals all over the world. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Garnet will be lovingly remembered by his father, Garnet Roy Patterson; his sister, Marlene (Terry) Gates; his brother, David (Karen) Patterson and by several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his mother, Leona Mae Patterson in 2007.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visiting hours will take place on Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 1 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3 pm with William Drysdale, DLM officiating. A reception will follow the service. Burial will take place in the Point de Bute Cemetery.
