Obituary of Barbara Joeann Fillmore

Westcock, N.B.- It is with sadness, that the family of Barbara Fillmore announce her passing at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, February 11, 2013. Barbara was 68 years of age. Born in Point de Bute, N.B. on May 3, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Ethel (Tower) and Lester Fillmore. Barbara graduated from high school in 1962 and enrolled in the nursing program at the Moncton Hospital. Following her graduation, she began a nursing career that lasted 36 years, until her retirement in 2001. She enjoyed gardening, playing the lotteries and going on the occasional road trip with her oldest nephew. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her two brothers, Bruce Fillmore (Linda McEwen) and Robert Fillmore; three nephews, Donald (Kimberly) Fillmore, Alan (Shelley) Fillmore and Ryan Fillmore; one niece, Tegan (Jeremy) Canada; one great-nephew, Stevy Fillmore and one great-niece, Demi Fillmore. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Ethel and Lester Fillmore and by her brother, Donald Fillmore. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A grave-side service will take place in the spring at the Sackville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the Moncton Hospital Cardiac Care Unit, Sackville Memorial Hospital Portable Ultrasound Machine Fund or to the charity of ones choice.
