Obituary of Mary J. Spence
Sackville, N.B.- The death of Mary Jane (Beck) Spence, age 85, occurred on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville, N.B.
Born in Kilkeel, County Down, Northern Ireland, on May 4, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William and Bessie (Thompson) Spence.
Mary will be sadly missed by her four sons, Worthen (Irma) of Windsor, Ontario, Gordon (Doreen) of Murray Corner, N.B., Douglas (Sherry) of Moncton, N.B. and Lysle (Norma) of Saint John, N.B.; three brothers, Jim (Erika) of Oshawa, Ontario, Ronald (Jackie) of Whitby, Ontario and Garnet (Lois) of Thunderbay, Ontario; three sisters, Blanche Miner of Mt. Whatley, N.B., Evelyn (Orland) Pauley of Sackville, N.B. and Marion (Bud) Mountain of Bowser, BC; thirteen grandchildren, Shawn (Mary), Susan (Mark), Christopher, Ryan, Shannon, Irene (Stuart), Diane, Ronnie (Karlie), Nicholas, Kyle, Kelly, Krista and Rebecca; seven great-grandchildren, Keenan, Kendra, Michael, Noah, Hailey, Marcus and Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Malcolm Spence in 1985.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place on Monday, May 14, 2007 from 7-9 PM. A private funeral service for family will be held from the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Point de Bute Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit or to the charity of ones choice.
