Obituary of June Harriet Best
Sackville, N.B.- June (Allen) Best, age 69, of Westcock, N.B., passed away suddenly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 27, 2007.
Born in Timber River, N.B., on December 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Winston and Ella (Tower) Allen.
June was a member of St. Ann’s Anglican Church, in Westcock, and volunteered with the ACW. She began working as a telephone operator in Port Elgin, N.B. and as an auditor at the T. Eaton Co. in Moncton, N.B. She was best known as a florist and business woman at the Flower Boutique, working alongside her husband Andrew. Following her retirement from business, she was a care-giver for the elderly, and spent her leisure time with her family and friends.
June will be sadly missed by her husband of thirty-seven years, Andrew Best of Westcock, N.B.; three sons, Eddie (Jackie) Cole of Sackville, N.B., Michael of Halifax, N.S. and Shawn (Shelby) of Collingwood, O.N.; sister Gloria (Tom) Steep of Durham Bridge, N.B.,sister-in-laws Marjorie, Lower Sackville, NS and Rheba, Linden, N.S. and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Laurie R. Cole.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place. Visitation is at Campbell’s on Monday, July 30, 2007 from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 2 PM from St. Ann’s Anglican Church in Westcock, N.B. Burial will follow in the Westcock Cemetery.
