Obituary of Timothy Byron Phinney
Sackville, N.B.- Timothy Byron Phinney, 52, passed away suddenly on October 16, 2007, at home.
Timmy was born in Sackville, NB on May 10, 1955, the second son of Jack and Carol (MacKinnon) Phinney, of Pleasant Street, Sackville.
He is survived by his parents, Jack and Carol; his two sons, Shannon (Danielle), of Perth Andover, NB and Christian of Sackville; his special granddaughter, Olivia, and next grandchild to be born in December. He is also survived by his brothers, John (Kathleen), Allan (Barbara) and Kevin (Darlene) and sister, Jacqueline (Joey) Archibald, plus many loved nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Milton and Blanche Phinney and Roy and Jean MacKinnon.
Timmy operated Phinney’s Barber Shop in Sackville for ten years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and adored his whole extended family although his health had not been good these past few years. Timmy was very sociable and will be sadly missed by many in the local community.
The cremation and memorial service have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home in Sackville. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM. The memorial service will be held at Middle Sackville Baptist Church in Middle Sackville New Brunswick, on Saturday, October 20th, 2007 at 2 PM with Reverand Vernon Vickruck officiating. Reception to follow at the church.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
