Obituary of Lois W. Weldon

Sackville, N.B.- Lois Waterson Weldon of Sackville, N.B., passed away suddenly on Friday, at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. The daughter of the late William G. and Nell Struensee, she spent her childhood in St. Stephen, N.B. While attending Mount Allison University, she met her late husband James Weldon, the love of her life. A warm, caring and vibrant wife and mother, her highest priority was ensuring a healthy and happy home for her husband and children. She had many interests through the years: I.O.D.E., volunteering, golf, curling, auction sales, traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and bridge. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and was delighted to have a great- granddaughter. Lois will be sadly missed by one son, Michael (Frances) Weldon of Sackville, N.B.; two daughters, Heather Weldon (Eric Tucker) of Fredericton, N.B. and Bonnie Weldon Florence (Tim Florence) of Calgary, AB; four grandchildren, Owen (Shelley) Weldon of Calgary, AB, Victoria Weldon of Montreal, PQ, William Weldon of Toronto, On and Aleaha Florence of Calgary, AB; one great grandchild, Natasha Weldon of Calgary, AB; nephew; niece and many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and by her husband. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 6-8 PM at Campbell’s Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 3 PM from the Sackville United Church with Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lois may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of ones choice.
