Obituary of Emmerson Leonard Roberts
Sackville, N.B.- The death of Emmerson L. Roberts , age 76, of Sackville, N.B. occurred on Monday, December 10, 2007 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.
Born on June 4, 1931 in Middle Sackville, N.B., he was the son of the late Leonard and Margaret (Bourque) Roberts.
Emmerson worked for CN Railways for thirty-five years as a track foreman. He was a caring and loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Pauline Rosemarie (Boudreau) of Sackville, N.B.; one son, Raymond Leonard (Janice) Roberts of Memramcook, N.B.; two daughters, Gloria Jean Roberts of Calgary, Alberta and Nancy Ann (Charles) Delaney of Upper Sackville, N.B.; three brothers, Gerald Roberts of Amherst, N.S., Freddie (Lola) Roberts of Joggins, N.B. and Phillip Roberts of Albert County, N.B.; three sisters, Betty Furlotte of Moncton, N.B., Marjorie (Raymond) Ferguson of Salisbury Road, N.B. and Mary Ann (Bud) Arseneau of Dieppe, N.B.; four grandchildren, Mandy Lynn Roberts of Burnaby, B.C., Patrick Leonard of Burnaby, B.C., Nevin Charles Delaney of Upper Sackville, N.B. and Brandon Alexander Delaney of Upper Sackville, N.B.
He was predeceased by his son Eric Roberts and four brothers, Edmond, Paul, Billy and Dougie.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM at Campbell’s Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Burial will take place in the spring in the Four Corners Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Emmerson may be made to the Alzheimers Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.
