Obituary of Donald Oscar Campbell Johnson
Sackville, N.B - Donald Johnson, age 51, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, N.B., surrounded by his loving family. Donald had fought a long and courageous battle with diabetes since his childhood.
Born in Sackville, N.B. on December 28, 1956, he was the son of the late John Seward and Shirley Marie (Wry) Johnson.
Donald was employed in Food Services at Mount Allison University for approximately twenty years. He was an avid card player and enjoyed beating his friends in a game but most if all loved to be outside in his vegetable garden.
Donald will be sadly missed by his son, Donald Tyler of Worchester, Massachusetts; five brothers, John (Dianne) of Dieppe, N.B., Jeffrey (Shelley) of Riverview, N.B., Charles of Sackville, N.B., Patrick (Theresa) of Calgary, AB and Scott (Cynthia) of Point de Bute, N.B. and his sister, Mary Jane (Kevin) Sears of Moncton, N.B.; several nieces and nephews and many supportive and caring friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 2 PM from St. Ann’s Anglican Church in Westcock, N.B. Burial will take place in the spring in the Westcock Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Westcock Cemetery, St. Ann’s Anglican Church or to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.
