Obituary of Marion Olive Tower

Sackville, N.B.- Thursday, February 28, 2008. Tired and worn out, her body gave peace to her soul, gracefully and peacefully while residing at the Drew Nursing Home, at the age of 88 years. Marion was born in Rockport, N.B. on October 8, 1919, and was the daughter of the late Russell and Marion (Willis) Maxwell. Marion was an avid quilter throughout the years and a member of the Middle Sackville Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Edna (Allen) Tower; grandson Jim; granddaughter Judi (Rob) Irich; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Alexander Tower, Natasha and Katrina Irich, all of Mississauga, Ontario; her brother Arthur Maxwell of Amherst, N.S. and several nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her husband Everett in 2001; brother Harry Maxwell and sisters Fredda Callendar and Betty Nelson. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held from Campbell’s Funeral Home on Sunday, March 2, 2008, at 3 PM. with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Visitation will take place from 1 PM until the time of the service. Burial will take place in the spring in the Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Immediately following the service, a time of fellowship and remembrance will be shared at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marion may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or to the charity of ones choice.
