Obituary of Roger Charles Haley

Timber River, N.B.- It is with sadness and peace of heart that we convey the passing of Roger Charles Haley, on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Moncton Hospital in his 67th year. Born in Anfield, N.B. on December 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Charles and Shirley (Harding) Haley. Roger worked at the Fawcett Foundry in Sackville, N.B., Enheat in Amherst, N.S. as well as at the Amherst Regional Hospital as a Stationary Engineer until his retirement. He loved fishing, hunting, bowling, card games, woodworking and family gatherings. Roger will be sadly missed by his wife of twenty-one years, Doreen (Pearce) Haley; children, Kenneth of Burnaby, BC, Laura (Randy) Ward of Sackville, N.B. and Tracy (Jerry) Eisener of Riverview, N.B.; grandchildren, Coral, Matthew, Leah and Patrick; step-children, Steven (Joanne) of Ottawa, ON, Michael (Sonia) Trenton, ON, Cheryl (Louie) of Edmonton, AB and step-grandchildren, Bradley, Derrick, Spencer, Shelby, Cathleen and Curtis; “adopted son” Kevin (Jennifer) Blacklock of Port Elgin, N.B.; brothers, Robert (Barb) Haley of Sackville, N.B., Junior (Myrna) Haley of Baie Verte, N.B., John (Linda) of Oshawa, ON, Floyd (Sharon) of Oshawa, ON; sisters, Margaret (Art) Holmes of Baie verte, N.B., Shirley Callaghan of Oshawa, ON, Debbie (Michael) Jones of Sackville, N.B., Arlene (Brian) of Baie Verte, N.B. and Linda (Robert) Trenholm of Port Elgin, N.B. as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Buddy, Edward, Frank and Harold. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 8-9 PM. Cremation will take place and a grave-side service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 2 PM at the Baie Verte Anglican Cemetery with Rev.William Drysdale, DLM officiating. A reception will be held at the Baie Verte Hall following the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Roger may be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or to the charity of ones choice.
