Obituary of Ella Blanche Lowther
Sackville, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Ella (Hollis) Lowther, announce her passing on Monday, May 26, 2008 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. She was 93 years of age.
Born on April 17, 1915 in Mansfield, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Irene (Wood) Hollis.
Ella will be sadly missed by her daughter Ghayle (Austin) Ibbitson of Sackville, N.B.; six grandchildren, Roxamy (Alice) Ibbitson of Moncton, N.B., Dale (Elise) Ibbitson of St. Stephen, N.B., Pamela Landry (Lester) of Amherst, N.S., Shawna (Kevin) Lane of Amherst, N.S., Daryl Todd (Tina) Ibbitson of Woodpoint, N.B. and Tanya (Shannon) Voss of Amherst, N.S.; thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Alvin; brothers, Lester Hollis, Charlie Hollis Henry Hollis and Earl Hollis and by her sister Jennie Lewis.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place on Friday, May 30, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Campbell’s Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 2 PM with Pastor Hal Lowther officiating. A time of reception will be held at the funeral home following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ella may be made to the Sackville VON, Palliative Care or to the charity of ones choice.
