Obituary of Eugene H. Tower
Sackville, N.B.- Eugene (Junior) Tower, age 64, of Frosty Hollow, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Sackville, N.B. on July 12, 1944, he was the son of the late Eugene and May (Briggs) Tower of Rockport, N.B.
Eugene worked in construction most of his life, later going into the logging business. He loved being with his family and friends, fishing, hunting and going to bingo.
Eugene will be sadly missed by his wife of 40 years, Barbara (Arseneault); his four sons, Daniel (Eva), Rodney (Katie), Wade (Jennifer) and Jason (Arlene); seven grandchildren, Joseph, Kyle, Nathan, Emily, Lindsey, Daniel and Andrew, all of whom he adored; sister Pat (Pansy) (Marvin) Goodwin of Hamilton, Ont.; brother Gaius of Hamilton, Ont.; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and his special friend Baxter.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Ivy, Violet, Helen, May, Bernice and Ethel and brothers, Wilbur, George and Winston.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 2 PM with Pastor Morris Mills officiating. Burial will take place in the Westcock Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eugene may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Research Fund or to the charity of ones choice.
