Obituary of James Walter Dobson
Baie Verte, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of James Walter Dobson, announce his passing on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. James was 74 years of age.
Born in Newcastle Creek, N.B. on May 19, 1936, James was the son of the late James Walter and Nellie May (Weeks) Dobson.
James loved life and enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
James will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Sarah (MacKenzie) Dobson of Baie Verte, N.B.; six children, Margaret Rayworth of Tidnish, N.S., Ann (Hector) Dobson of Coburg, N.B., Marlene (Bruce) Haynes of Tidnish, N.S., Paula (Ray) Dobson of Moncton, N.B., James Dobson of Brandon, Manitoba and Michael (May) Dobson of Baie Verte, N.B.; three sisters, Doreen, Ina and Madeline; one brother Wesley; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his two grandsons, Warren and Justin; sisters, Clara, Evelyn, Carol, Lillian, Ethel and Mildred and by his brother Arthur.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with James’ wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will take place at a later date in the Baie Verte Cemetery, Baie Verte, N.B.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of James may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society Research Fund, Diabetic Association or to the charity of one’s choice.
