Obituary of Cassie Thelma Trenholm
Cape Tormentine, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Cassie T. Trenholm announce her passing at the Westford Nursing Home on Tuesday, September 23, 2010. She was 99 years of age.
Born in Cape Spear, N.B. on August 23, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine Trenholm.
Cassie was a wonderful homemaker and brought Carl up from childhood. She enjoyed hand quilting, hand embroidery, loved plants and flowers, especially her African violets. Cassie loved music and in her younger years played the Hawaiian guitar with her father.
Cassie will be sadly missed by her brother, Lyle of Deseronto, Ontario; three nephews, Carl of Cape Tormentine, N.B.; Howard of Durant, Oklahoma and Bobby of Ontario and one niece Luetta of Ontario. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her two sisters, Anita MacRae and Helen MacPhee and by her two brothers, Francis Trenholm and Edson Trenholm.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 12 pm until 2pm at the Cape Tormentine United Church. The funeral service will take place at 2 pm following the end of visitation with Rev. Bill Drysdale officiating. Burial will follow in the Bayfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cassie may be made to the charity of ones choice.
