Obituary of Jerry Joseph Crossman
Moncton, N.B.- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry J. Crossman, age 64, at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, October 23, 2010. Jerry passed away with his loving family by his side.
Born in Sackville, N.B. on July 28, 1946, he was the son of Geneva (Wheaton ) and the late Beverly Crossman.
Jerry was a member of Highfield Baptist Church and the Brotherhood Class. He was a good friend to all who knew him. Tom loved the outdoors and would often take long walks enjoying nature. He was a trainer with the 1971 Sackville Combines winning hockey team, which was inducted into the Sackville Sports Wall of Fame on May 13, 1995. Tom was one of the original “rink rats” and greatly enjoyed his time at the former Allison Gardens in Sackville.
Jerry will be sadly missed by his wife Nancy (Steeves) of Moncton, N.B.; his mother, Geneva (Wheaton) Crossman of Shemogue, N.B.; three sisters, Eunice (Ken), Margaret and Colleen; three brothers, Gordon, Roland (Barb) and Vern (Brenda); sister-in-law, Audrey Crossman and several close nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Beverly and by his brothers Charles and Meryl.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 11 am with Pastor Troy Dennis and Rev. Timothy P. MacDonald officiating. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jerry may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of ones choice.
