Obituary of Clovis Joseph Landry
Sackville, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Clovis J. Landry announce his passing on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, N.B. Clovis was 86 years of age.
Born in Sackville, N.B. on April 29, 1924, he was the son of the late Delphine (Petipas) and Alex Landry.
Clovis and Lydia enjoyed sixty-five years of marriage and spent a lot of time in their retirement years traveling to different places and enjoying life. He was a hard-working man all his life and was a very caring, giving and family oriented person. Clovis was a loving husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Lydia (Cormier) of Dieppe, N.B.; two sons, Ewald Landry of Dieppe, N.B. and Gilles Landry of Sackville, N.B.; brother, George Landry of Ontario; three grandchildren, Kristen Drapeau, Megan Landry and Marley Landry; one great-granddaughter, Jade Robinson and many nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his four sisters, Lena Babineau, Eva Cormier, Mary Landry and Alveta Landry and by two brothers, Dennis Landry and Levi Landry.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 2-4 pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Vincent’s Roman Catholic Church, Sackville, on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 11 am with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary-St. Vincent’s Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Clovis may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or to the charity of ones choice.
