Obituary of Robert Edward Christie
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert “Bob” Edward Christie announce his passing on July 15, 2026 after a short, courageous battle with cancer. At the age of 47, with his family by his side, his fight was over.
Born in Sackville, NB, he was a son of Marlene (Richard) and the late Edward Christie.
Bob’s children were his whole life and he loved spending time with each of them. He was a master tinkerer and would take things apart just to put them back together again. Bob loved the outdoors and was a believer in self-sustainability. He loved a food forest and knowing where your food came from. Bob was an avid rifleman with endless knowledge about rifles and their history.
Bob is survived by his mother, Marlene; his children, Max, Evangeline and Orrin; his brother, Emmerson (Gloria); his sisters, Angela (Brian) and Laura (Walter); his best friends, Darrell Davidson and Matt Hall, as well as by his nieces and nephews, Selena, Alyre, Dean, Brent and Leah. Bob will be missed by all of his family and friends who loved him so dearly.
Bob was predeceased by his father, Edward Christie; his maternal grandparents, Blair Richard and Doreen (Snow) Phinney, as well as by his paternal grandparents, Max Christie and Marjorie (Oderkirk).
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life and burial will take place at a later date with the details to be announced.
