Roger Landry

Obituary of Roger Adelard Landry

It is with deep sadness that the family of Roger Adelard Landry announces his passing on Friday, July 3, 2026 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton. Roger passed away with his loving family by his side at the age of 78.

Born in Moncton on April 19, 1948, he was a son of the late Elizabeth Mary “Lizzie” (LeBlanc) and Adelard Joseph Landry.

Roger enjoyed hunting and fishing and one of his greatest past times was going to the wharf, which he visited several times a day. He was a great hockey fan and was a regular at the rink watching his son and his granddaughter play. Roger could always be counted on to pass along the latest weather forecast, even better than the weatherman. Roger will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Roger will be lovingly remembered by his son, Michael Landry; his daughter, Jodi (Craig) Hicks; his grandchildren, Sarah Landry, Alyssa Landry (Emilie), Emily Hicks (Ian) and Logan Hicks; his brothers, Valerie Landry, John (Claudette) Landry, Billy (Lauretta) Landry; his sisters, Jeanne (Eddie) Nicholson, Charlene (Jean) Despres, Linda (Edmond) Doiron as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides his parents, Roger was pre-deceased by his wife, Lois Marlene (Cadman) Landry, as well as by his brother, Emile Landry.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Roger’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Roger may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.

On-line condolences and sharing of memories may be forwarded to the family through our website www.campbellsfuneralhome.com or by visiting the funeral home Facebook page.
