My darling Stright Family I was so shocked to hear of my Cousin David's passing. I have such fond memories of staying at the big house almost every summer in Murray Corner as my mom and dad would drive down from Ottawa to visit our beloved extended family. My Aunt Betty and Uncle Raymond were always so kind and loving to me and the laughs and fun Heidi and I had is a treasure I will always hold dear in my heart. Every time I think of David is one summer my Dad and I were at Murray Corner and we popped into the corner store. I was outside when a truck drove by then did an abrupt stop and the door flies open and there is David running towards with open arms saying Suzy and twirled me around. He didn't know we were down visiting. It is hard to believe that David endured so very much in his short live span. There is a saying that I do say it's this "You Never Know How Strong You Are Until Being Strong Is Your Only Choice" and that sure resonates here. Even though our paths haven't crossed in years I have always cherished my summers with the Stright Family. Larry, Peggy Ann, Beth, Gordon, Heidi your family bond has always been so strong and I'm sure now so more than ever. My Darling Aunt Betty wish I could hold you close but please know I am doing so even if we are miles and oceans apart. I love you all so very much, you Niece/Cousin Suzy Allen in Toronto.

My sincere condolences to Betty, Calvin, Colby and family. David was "one of the good ones", with a great zest for life and laughter. Although he passed too soon, he certainly had many friends and a wonderful family who loved him dearly. Rest well my friend.

My sincere condolences to Betty and all of her family on David's passing. Also to his friends and all those who loved him. I have very fond memories of high school years meeting and getting to know him. He was a kind man with a big heart, funny and so much more. As life goes in different paths as we grow in this life we never got to see each other very much.I'd bump into him every once in a long while and he was the same man I met in high school. I will cherish those memories of you David. Rip my friend.

My heart is broken hearing of David's passing.
We shared such a wonderful time together at the 45th Annual Lobster Boil in June 2024. David made it a point to take me back to where my mom grew up, allowing me to revisit so many cherished childhood memories. It was a day filled with laughter, stories, and even a few tears. “I reminded him so much of our sweet cousin Kathy he said”
I will always be grateful for that special time with David, his son Colby, Colby's partner and cousin Robby as we walked down memory lane together. David's kindness, thoughtfulness, and generous spirit made that day one I will never forget.
Please accept my deepest condolences, to the entire Stright family. May your memories of David bring you comfort and peace in the days ahead.
Sending love, light, and heartfelt sympathy to all who knew and loved him.
I will miss those big smiles and hugs he always shared.

I want to offer my deepest sympathies to Gordie, Louise and all David’s family. I attended many Swillbag socials over the years and always enjoyed a chat with David. Whether we were at a bonfire, Fortune Harbour or elsewhere, David always was welcoming and friendly . Our mutual love of sports made our conversations focus mostly on Football.
Rest in peace!
