Obituary of Melanie Marie Vandewater

It is with great sadness that the family of Melanie Marie Vandewater announces her sudden death on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the age of 33.

Born in Markham, Ontario on June 29, 1992, she was the daughter of Roxanne Marie (Phinney) Vandewater and Robert Morgan Vandewater.

Melanie loved her boys with all her heart and enjoyed taking them to the beach, camping and to other activities. She enjoyed Woodland and Wasaga beaches while in Ontario and loved the outdoors. Melanie liked being one of the boys and was not afraid to get her hands dirty and get involved. She was the light in a room and would always brighten you up if you were feeling down. Melanie had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Melanie will be lovingly remembered by her mother and father, Roxanne Vandewater and Bob Vandewater; her two boys, Hunter and Ronan; her little brother, Bobby; her little sister, Jade; her special auntie, Debbie; her uncles, Kevin and Billy, as well as by many cousins, extended family and friends.

Melanie was pre-deceased by her maternal grandparents, Doris (Cormier) Phinney and Thomas Phinney, as well as by her paternal grandparents, Anne (Appleton) Vandewater and Robert Vandewater.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Melanie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and visiting hours to celebrate Melanie’s life will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 1-4 pm and all are welcome to attend. Please come back to view the memorial slideshow, which will be completed in the coming days.
