Obituary of Gwen Phinney

It is with sadness that the family of Gwen Phinney announce her passing on March 31, 2026 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital at the age of 74.

Born in Oxford, NS, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Frances (King) Dickie.

Gwen had a kind heart and a passion for all animals. She especially loved her miniature horse, Flo; her dog, Ginger and her several Siamese cats.

Gwen is survived by her daughter, Natasha; stepson, Gerry Phinney; sisters, Judy (Ron) Stephens of Sackville, Elizabeth (Betty) Woodworth of Moncton and brother,  Cecil (Betty) Dickie of Sackville as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Gwen  was predeceased by her husband, Robert.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Gwen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Burial in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery will be at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to CARMA, L.A. Animal Shelter or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
