Charlie will be dearly missed. He was a wonderful uncle to me and my siblings and made us feel so very welcome when we visited. Seeing him was always a big highlight because he was so funny! We always looked forward to his grilling and appreciated our family conversations in the gazebo at the cottage. I was glad that Mark was able to meet and converse with Charlie as I think they had similar minds. I was also glad that John and Alex were able to meet him during our couple of visits to his care home.

Anne, Mark, Kim, Jody, and Family,
Lisette, Gilles, Denis and I send you our deepest condolences.
Charles was great boss, mentor, friend, and I always looked up to him. Thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work with him. Over 18 years, we made many trips all over the Maritimes visiting job sites, many times leaving before sun-up, and arriving after sunset; the drives were never boring, and long conversations always made good old common sense.
Have missed that since he retired 25 years ago, and will continue to have him on my mind. All who knew him will surely miss him.
He is in a better place now. Our thoughts and prayers are with you,
Sincerely
Paul Babineau and family

Dear Anne and families,
Bev and I send our sincere condolences to you and your family.
We have many fond memories with Charlie socializing at the cottage.
We had great times together, whether it was playing a game or two of horseshoes or having a cold beverage on the deck . Charlie was always free to lend a hand with something or lend a tool from his tool shed. Always enjoyed Charlie’s company. He will sorely be missed. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

The tears are softly and slowly falling from my eyes as I read this, going thru all the memories in my mind. Working for Charles at FRS (Supplies) Ltd was an absolute pleasure and then upon his retirement, seeing and chatting with him as he was out for a stroll or at the hockey rink. He will never be forgotten in my mind. Andrew and I thought very highly of Charles. I am so sorry, to his family, and an especially big hug to Anne, and to Gina & Mark, to Kim, Randy & Kelsey, and Barb & Jody.

My sincere condolences to Anne, Mark, Kim and Jody on reading of Charlie's passing. I have a lot of memories right back to as a kid with Charles and family. He was a great guy who always treated me kindly and was lucky to have him pick me to do most of his electrical work over the years. He treated others the way he wanted to be as being fair. He will be missed by all that knew him regardless of age.

Ann, Mark, Kim, and Jody, I was sorry to hear of the passing of Charlie (or rather Mr. Hubert when I was kid living next door). He fought a battle for several years, but is now at peace. I remember that as a kid Charlie/Mr. Hubert always had a nice car with a big engine (my family drove a VW) and on the highway he never minded putting his foot all the down when passing a car, much to the enjoyment of us kids in the back. Charlie/Mr Hubert was a big man with a big smile and will be missed by all who knew him.
God Bless.
