Obituary of Alice (Goodwin) Dupuis
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alice Elizabeth Dupuis (née Goodwin) of Riverview, which occurred on January 22, 2026, after a short battle with Cancer in her 76th year.
Born in London, ON, she was the daughter of the late Millage and Audrey Goodwin (Cochrane).
Alice will be deeply missed by her husband of 54 years, Normand; her son, Patrick (Amy); her daughter, Amanda (Pat); her grandchildren, Everett, Ivy, Leland, Jane, and Anne; her sister, Janie Oickle (Louis); her brother, Burton Goodwin (Anne Derby); her sister-in-law, Yvonne Fennelly (late Ron Taylor); her brothers-in-law, Wayne Mitton (late Ruth), Leon Dupuis (late Thelma) and Donald Dupuis, as well as by her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
Predeceased by her sister, Ruth Mitton; her husband’s parents, Napoléon and Dorilda, as well as by his brothers, Léo-Paul, Alyre, Alonzo (Phyllis), Eugène, and Gérald.
Alice began her career with the Town of Riverview, and later joined BlueCross where she retired after 27 years of service. She enjoyed volunteering with local organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society, Poppy Campaign, and Camp Ta-Wa-Si.
Her summers were spent at the family cottage in Lorneville, NS where she enjoyed tending to the garden, puzzling, beach walks with her grandchildren, swims and laughs with her beloved sister Ruth, and strawberry shortcakes. Laundry was always out on the line and love was shown in all the ways she cared for us.
Alice had the travel bug and enjoyed planning trips almost as much as the trips themselves. Over the years she and Norm travelled extensively through Europe, British Columbia, US and took numerous bus tours. A few memorable trips were with Janie and Louis through Scotland and Paris, France; with Norm, Ruth, and Burton through Italy. Her last trip was to London, England in May with Amanda and Burton while still in great health.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell's Funeral Home in Sackville, NB (506) 364-8188. In respecting Alice’s wishes, there will be no service and a private ceremony will be held at the Lorneville Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Alice, a contribution to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital or Albert House Hospice would be appreciated.
Special thanks to Dr. Nizar Abdel Samad and Dr. Chris Gallant for their care over the years.
With love from her husband Normand, and children Patrick and Amanda.
