Obituary of Ronald Michael Fahey
The family of Ronald (Ron) Michael Fahey announce his passing on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the Moncton City Hospital. Ron was 74 years of age.
Born in Sackville on January 7, 1951 he was the son of the late Fred and Lillian (O’Toole) Fahey.
Ron was employed by CNR for decades until he started his own business, Frosty Hollow Sylvaculture.
Ron was an accomplished athlete who excelled at every sport he played. He had a passion for hunting and a love for the woods. Ron was known for his quick wit, long stories, good humor, generosity and his “Ronfires” at the beach.
Ron is survived by the mother of his children, Janice (Butcher) Fahey; his daughters, Sheila Pearson (Wade), Melissa (Tim Sears), Rebecca (Eveliene Eijsermans) and Regan; his grandchildren, Alexa, Cassidy, Reanna, Thomas and Violet; his siblings, Tom, Maureen, Claude, Robert (Bob)(Jacqueline), Ernie (Carol), Ralph, Filis and Paul (Marie). Ron was Papa to his grandchildren as well as his many nieces and nephews and the myriad of children that Janice provided child care for.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral; a Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Sackville, on Saturday, January 17, 2025 from 1-4pm.
