Obituary of John Charles Spencley
It is with great sadness that the family of John Charles Spencley announce his passing on November 27, 2025 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Toronto, Ontario on January 4, 1959, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Ison) Spencley.
In his younger years, John worked in construction in Ontario and was also a very good handyman. John was raised in Sackville, New Brunswick and worked for a short time at Marshlands Inn. Eventually, John helped his wife, Christina, with CARMA rescue and he loved his own cat, Sergeant, who was a great companion.
John is survived by his wife, Christina (Viars); two sons, Justin (Jade) and Travis (Ayren) both of Saint John, New Brunswick; two granddaughters; his aunt, Jean Cole, and cousins, Norman Saunders and Jill Saunders.
Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother, Alan.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held in Four Corners Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to the L.A. Animal Shelter, CARMA (Amherst, NS) or to the charity of one’s choice.
