Emily was a very special lady. She was like a second mother to me and I loved her. When I was very young, Emily looked after me when mom and dad were working. I remember us making oatmeal cookies which were my favourite. We would watch Chez Helene and with emily’s help I could speak French. My summers at Hicks Beach, I was at Fred and Emily’s cottage as much as I was at mom and dads.
When ponchos were popular Emily got someone to make me the most gorgeous red and blue knitted poncho. I was so very proud of it. I wore it for years.
Gary and I were just talking about Emily the other day.
Kathy, Nancy and your families my deepest condolences. She will always hold a very special place in my heart.
