Obituary of Doris Mary (Brine) Arsenault

It is with great sadness that the family of Doris Mary (Brine) Arsenault, age 70, announces her passing on Friday, August 22, 2025. Doris passed away at the Drew Nursing Home, following a brief illness.

Born in Sackville, NB on December 9, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Laurraine Della (Legere) and Alfred Joseph Brine.

Doris enjoyed coloring and knitting and she created many things including mittens, hats and scarves. She was employed in the kitchen at Mount Allison University for over twenty years and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Doris will be lovingly remembered by her husband of forty six years, Fred Arsenault; her daughter, Amelia Arsenault; her step-son, Jamie Arsenault; her four sisters, Shirley (Larry) Landry, Tressa Brine, Yvonne Brine and Sarah Stultz, all of Sackville, NB; her brothers, Oswald “Ozzie” Brine, Edward (Debbie) Brine and Peter Brine, all of Sackville, NB as well as by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her brother, Emery Brine.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Doris’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. A graveside service will take place in the Sackville Cemetery with a date and time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Doris may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to the charity of one’s choice.
