Obituary of Richard Lee Estabrooks

It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Lee Estabrooks announces his passing at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Richard passed away peacefully at the age of 69, surrounded by his family.

Born on September 3, 1955 in Sackville, NB, he was the son of the late Ansel Jerome Estabrooks and Shirley Marie (Snowdon).

Richard was employed for thirty-five years with Aramark and he also enjoyed his job delivering meals from Pizza Delight, always friendly and willing to chat when he came to the door. He loved spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, playing cards, talking and telling stories. Richard will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Richard will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Sara Estabrooks and Lacey Estabrooks; his siblings, Cindy (Ron) Wry, Todd (Margot) Estabrooks and Mark (Jennifer) Estabrooks, as well as by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Richard’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visiting hours to celebrate Richard’s life will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 1-4 pm. The burial will follow in the Sackville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Richard may be made to the Lillian Allbon Animal Shelter, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
